Unified Mounting Structure Maintains a Low Profile Without Compromising Critical Long-Term Stability
January 20, 2026, Placentia, CA: rp Visual Solutions (RPV), a leader in custom architectural structures for visual displays, announced today that they have improved the Slim LED system, which is a structural mounting solution for tile LED video walls. ADA compliance is critical with many video walls and Slim LED’s total depth is as low as 0.85” (2.16 cm) from the wall to the back of the LED tile, greatly assisting in hitting ADA compliance. Slim LED is primarily designed to be used with small to medium displays up to 28.0’ x 7.0’ (8.5m x 2.1m). All Slim LED structures are custom-built using standardized elements to reduce build time and reduce capital costs, while still providing the optimal stability and the quality RPV is known for.
The design of the Slim LED system was developed after many system installations and feedback from audiovisual designers, LED manufacturers, and integrators. The design solves many issues typically experienced when installing and servicing video walls:
- Seamless tiling on imperfect walls using micro z-axis adjustment
- Z-axis adjustors on each tile quadrant allow for precision compensation for undulating building surfaces. Note: Wall surface should be +/- ¼” of inch of flat across the wall.
- Typical adjustment range is 0.5” on the Z axis, with the smallest adjustment being 1/1000”.
- Simplified installation
- Easy to carry, sectional design, speeds move-in, structure mounting, and tile installation while maintaining a unified rear structure.
- Precision machined array plates accommodate the LED tile-attach method and enable easier alignment of tiles. Built to order to match the exact LED tile size and array size.
- Optional Trim around the display is also available.
- Long-term stability of the display and seams
- Dual-plane design forms a composite structure that remains extremely rigid over time.
- Heavy gauge, welded steel for strength.
- Steel channel configuration creates more stable sections.
